Salmon Summer

About the Project:

Salmon Summer is a storytelling project rooted in adventure, conservation, and community. This summer, we’ll be kayaking some of the most iconic rivers in the Pacific Northwest. These waterways are not only breathtaking to paddle. They are also critical to the survival of wild salmon. From the glacial-fed rivers of the Cascades to the rugged tributaries of the Columbia, each stretch of river we run tells a significant story. It is about salmon in crisis. Along the way, we’ll be creating short, engaging videos. These videos will highlight the many challenges salmon face today, such as dams, warming waters, and habitat loss. These videos, shared on social media throughout the summer, will include action-packed kayaking footage. They will integrate educational content and heartfelt storytelling. The goal is to inspire viewers to care. We want them to learn and take action for the future of salmon and the rivers they call home.
